Subject title: eek's sketchbook

Hi all. I'm new around here, though been watching Sycra for a long time. :)

I've been drawing (somewhat) seriously for about 5-6 years now. I still have a massive way to go though.

Been poking around the forum and you guys have some cool work, so I thought I'd share mine as I try to improve.

I've been out of the study habit for a while, so here's some from recently trying to get back into a groove.

Are you drawing these in photoshop? The gesture lines remind me of the marks of a G pen that I used in Manga Studio EX5, reason why I'm asking.

Nice stuff so far.

I actually just played videos in VLC media player and paused them, incrementing the frames by a couple each time. There's pretty much infinite references that way. :)

Yep yep, they're just photoshop. The gestures are using just a basic pencil brush with a little texture on it.

Here's a few things from recently, just a bit of a personal project I'm working on with a friend.

Holy shieeeeeeet your gesture drawings are so good. My 1 min gestures aren't even half as good as your 30sec ones. Can I become your disciple or something XD? Will work really hard I promise!
Feel free to add me on skype if you wanna talk art or just share some tips and tricks. Skype username is same as here

(I'm pretty weak in environments, so I think I've got a bit of a quest on my hands. Gonna focus on those a bit. These are just some beginning lil' experiments, no idea what I'm doing. :o)

Thanks a lot. :)

This one felt kinda interesting. Spent a while gathering environment reference & master paintings for this mini quest, so I'm much better equipped for it. Should be fun/scary. :)
