Don't really know much about Syntra. A friend of mine took something similar also on 3D but eventually got really screwed over because the lessons proved to be expensive and not that useful. Not saying the same will happen to you but I'd definitely double check the course. Although the works on the DAE website may look pretty impressive these are also some of the better works of over 300 students that enroll each year. If it's the same for the syntra course it appears that the DAE level lies slightly higher though. Perhaps they're too soft on the students at syntra?
I wouldn't worry too much about a degree, if I finish DAE I'll happily show my portfolio while I keep my bachelor's diploma as a backup. A good portfolio gets you the job in art, so put the bachelor out of your mind :)

As a sidenote, here's the drawing from the what you make of it challenge

Thanks, Oli. Tried to make the sky more blue-ish but it didn't feel quite right. Maybe one day I'll understand how to make it better and then I'll fix it but right now I'm completely oblivious :p

cool color combination here! for the other, i was thinking about a green pushed a bit towards blue. i think atm the colors are too analogous. if you still have them on different layers i think it is easy to try.

Thanks a lot, Oli! Thi green works soooo much better :D
I'll keep this in mind, it'll be useful more often :3

Besides that I sketched something...don't like the result but I didn't put much effort in it anyway, was more of a test.

@Oli Thanks a lot for the sugestion, Oli. I won't forget :)
@ElisaClaes Wow, the lava looks a lot better with those sparks of yellow in there and the lighter background really makes it a more appealing image! Thanks a ton! :D

Here's some blessed viking sketch inspired by connor burke's work in the daily spitpaint group on fb.
Been doing a lot more traditional drawing to learn anatomy recently...which I won't upload because it's terrible but I'll post a bit less than before now.

I really like the portrait, it has a lot of really nice details. Something seems a little off about the construction of the face, but I can't quite put my finger on it. Keep going though! I really like what I'm seeing. :)

@SumOfA Thanks! I'd be surprised if it's just the construction of the face that has mistakes in it though, haha :lol:
